Complaints The Notaries Society is a membership organisation for notaries practising in England & Wales and not all notaries are members. The profession is regulated by the Faculty Office of the Archbishop of Canterbury and complaints against notaries should be made to them. If the notary concerned is a member of the Society the Faculty Office may invite the Society to try to resolve the complaint under its Informal Complaints Procedure but this is a matter for the Faculty Office to decide.
